1.) What is it like to work with you?

From beginning to end, I want your experience with me to be as enjoyable + fun as possible! I love helping in any way I can during the planning process. Whether it is a scheduling question or an opinion on colors, I am always here to help.

I learn your vision for your session, and we dial in your desired style. My goal is to let you be you and create something beautiful and emotional in all the chaos, nerves, and joy. I am very much a candid photographer focusing on raw + authentic moments. Rather than waiting for cookie-cutter poses, I prompt you with cues. I ask you to tell each other stories, and get you talking and laughing. I provide you with direction, then I hide behind trees, capturing the authenticity of your session and all the love surrounding you.

I believe that the little things add up to the big things, and I want to be able to capture all of the little moments that make your story so great. Mostly I aim to capture those fleeting moments that go unnoticed, the ones you end up cherishing forever.

2.) I'm awkward in front of the camera, what should I do?

I think 90% of everyone I meet feels this way! I mean, what even should you do with your hands?! You are not alone! This is where I come in to better support you!

Whether you've been in front of the camera before, or it's your first time having professional photography done, comfortability is the most important thing to me.

With an 10+ year background in modeling, acting, and posing coaching, I support you throughout your entire session guiding you with tips + hacks to make you feel your best on camera!

3.) When will I receive my images?

I'm big on SNEAK PEAKS! This means that after your session, you will receive a FEW edited images within 48 hours to give you an idea of how your session will look. This also gives you some peace of mind, if you are overly anxious.

For all sessions, other than weddings or elopements, you will receive your final gallery within 10 business days of choosing your allotted images for editing.

If it is a wedding or elopement, your edited collection will be available 10- 12 weeks after your wedding or elopement date.

4.) What if I want to create my own custom session or package?

Every session, every client, and every story is different + unique in its own way! With that being said, I love creating custom packages to fit whatever your needs are. Just because a style of session isn't listed on what I offer, that doesn't mean I don't shoot it. I'm always up for adventurous ideas! If you are interested in crafting a unique session or package, I would love to hear from you.

Let's chat!

5.) What is a print release?

Each of my sessions includes a print release! A print release is a legal, written agreement between a photographer and client (or model) that grants the client permission to print hard copies of the photos. This legal document provides you with the ability to print your images through third party companies.

I provide this to you, so you have the freedom to create your own photo books, albums, or other tangible keepsakes, outside from ordering through me.

Of course, I always highly recommend ordering prints through me, as this will guarantee you the highest quality printing of your images.

6.) How do I pay for my session?

A non-refundable $50 deposit is due in advance to secure the date of your session (For weddings + elopements, a $200 deposit is due), and the remaining balance is due the date of your session, or anytime prior. As far as payment, you can pay your deposit + remaining session balance via:

  • Cash
  • Check
  • Venmo
  • PayPal
  • Zelle

I also work with clients to create payment plans catered to their financial bandwidth!

7.) Do you travel for sessions?

Absolutely! I adore traveling! Although I am based in the Kentuckiana area, I continue to serve clients beyond the bluegrass! I understand that capturing your special moment, might not be local. It might be at a special place that means a lot to you, or even somewhere new + adventurous!

Sessions booked locally (without a traveling fee) can take place up to 30 miles within Louisville, Kentucky. Travel fees apply beyond a 30 mile radius.

Let's chat about your special destination!

8.) What if I need to reschedule?

Life happens, things come up, kids get sick, or work conflicts. I completely understand!

I permit a one-time rescheduling allowance at no charge. I do require a 24-hour advance notice for rescheduling, so that I can fill your prior secured date with another session. However, if we need to reschedule due to weather, this does not count toward your one-time rescheduling allowance.

If you need to reschedule more than once, I do charge a $30 rescheduling fee each additonal time thereafter.

9.) Can I bring other people to my session?

Heck yeah! Comfortability is always the most important thing.

Photoshoots are always more fun with more people, however do make sure that your guest, family, friends etc. knows not to disrupt your session, as this could distract you from your overall session results. For anyone under the age of 18, I require them to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

p.s) Pets are people too! If you are wondering if you can bring your furry friend to your session, the answer is yes!

10.) Is there a high season for weddings?

There is! May through November is the high season for weddings, and I tend to book quickly and in advance for weekends during these months. If your wedding falls in high season, contact me so we can chat more about how to reserve the date of your special day!
